Diane was a key figure among the "gallacticos" of the High Street Task Force experts, working tirelessly to help places across the UK organise themselves to better deliver placemaking change. I witnessed her expertise firsthand in a town that had invested a fair sum of money with one of the usual suspects to write a vision document that was a wishy-washy "Tipex" Report (i.e., same as all the others, just change the name of the town!) As a result of Diane's expertise, the eventual output was much more purposeful and place-based and very much in use today.
